Devaki’s brother, Kansa, the demon king of Mathura, imprisoned them upon learning a prophecy that he would be killed by Devaki’s eighth son due to his sins. To avert the prophecy, Kansa attempted to eliminate each of Devaki’s children immediately after their birth. When Devaki gave birth to her eighth child, a divine intervention caused the entire palace to fall into a deep sleep. Under this cover, Vasudeva managed to protect the infant by transporting him to the home of Yashodha and Nanda in Vrindavan. This infant was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who later became known as Sri Krishna and ultimately defeated Kansa, putting an end to his tyrannical rule. Let’s shout together ” Hathi ghoda palki, Jai kanhaiya lal ki” . Happy Lord Krishna Jayanti to all of you from us. May God shower immense blessings on all of us. Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna.
